Introduction to Graphite and Charcoal Drawing Series
Want to learn how to draw but not sure where to start? This class is for you!
An Introduction to Charcoal and Graphite! Learn how to break down objects into basic shapes and translate what you see to the paper! Learn the basics and foundations of drawing through observation and gain the confidence to draw!
First class focuses on how to draw lines, shapes, and forms using warmups, exercises, and objects found in real life.
Students are recommended to practice during the time between the first and second class. Even just 5-10 minutes a day can improve your skills!
In the Second class, we’ll be drawing from a still life with timed drawing sessions.
Charcoal and Graphite are messy, so the instructor recommends wearing dark or old clothes.
Supplies are covered in cost. Please bring a bag to carry supplies home with you.
If students already have graphite and/or charcoal supplies, they are encouraged to bring them to class.
Cost includes materials required to complete the project. If students already have a graphite pencil set and charcoal, they want to use, they are welcome to bring them along
