“Twister”

“All my sculptures layer references to multiple aspects of the natural world, including time, energy, stone, and organic growth. "Twister" has all of these, but it is hard to view it without seeing aspects of the human body. The title refers to a spiraling twist of the top layer that might suggest shoulders and missing arms above the swelling of hips. This suggestion is neither right nor wrong. If you see it as such, try looking at it at its most basic: a novel form made of clay with color variations, contrasting textures, and evidence of a structure of blocks. How many suggested realities can you see?” —Robert Pulley, Artist

Next Stop: Tippecanoe County Courthouse (.45 miles (1.24 total walk))
From here, cross the John T. Meyers Pedestrian Bridge, which spans the Wabash River and leads you into the heart of Lafayette. Upon reaching Lafayette, walk along Main Street to the northwest corner of the Tippecanoe County Courthouse to admire "Enfolding." This piece uniquely contrasts the traditional marble statue of the Marquis de LaFayette, created by sculptor Lorado Taft in 1887.
