Watercolor Workshop | Harvesting Wild Rice

from $60.00

Skill Level: Advanced/Intermediate

From an original archived photo of an American Indian gathering wild rice from his birchbark canoe. The artist will explain and demonstrate a technique of her own using flat watercolor brushes rather than traditional rounds. Demonstrations will also be given for wet-in-wet painting, depicting reflections in water, and transferring images to watercolor paper. The size of the finished painting is 9x12” unless students contact the instructor before the class. Cost includes all materials and tools needed to complete the project. Students are encouraged to bring a drawing board, paintbrushes, and other tools including masking fluid of your own.
