Stop 7 — Art Museum of Greater Lafayette

"Marker" and "Cloud Over Mountain"

“These two sculptures were conceived separately. Because they are similar in size and proportion and derived from the same impulses and techniques, they can engage in conversation when placed near each other.

When a sculpture is placed in a new context or surroundings, its perception changes. For example, seeing a sculpture in a white gallery with dramatic lighting would lead to quite different thoughts about it than seeing the same work in the corner of someone's garage or placed carefully in someone's garden.” —Robert Pulley, Artist

This concludes the 2 mile Robert Pulley Art Crawl walking trail. However, inside the museum are over 30 works of various sizes by Robert Pulley in the exhibition "Courting the Mystery."

Also on exhibit, "Elegant Equine" by artist Heather Galloway Vickers",“Food for Thought: A Savory Display of Works from the Permanent Collection”, and "Forever Young" by artist Kevin West.

Admission is free! The museum is open 7 days a week from 11:00am – 4:00pm except on all major holidays.
