Stop 4 — Tippecanoe County Courthouse

“Enfolding”

“This is the most recent of the large public sculptures. It was created in 2022. These segmented sculptures are hand-built using the same technique I use on nearly all my clay work. I build by adding one fat coil of clay per day that I pinch up into a 3" or 4" tall addition. Creating the final sculpture with 3" daily additions meant that the sculpture took about four months of nearly daily work sessions averaging 3 or 4 hours per day to complete. The form of "Enfolding" was partially determined by a small model that I used to guide my progress.” —Robert Pulley, Artist
