get artsmart! CALLING ALL KIDS FOR FREE TIME TRAVEL

Children from kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to free classes June 11 at the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette in celebration of the Indiana Bicentennial.  Sponsored by ArtSmart: Indiana, the classes will incorporate Indiana's art history as children rotate through classes that include pottery, oil pastels and papermaking taught by museum instructors from 1-4 p.m. Instructors are Jane Boswell, Kathryn Clark and Elizabeth Lincourt.

Although classes are free, registration is required. Space is limited to 30, 10 per age group.

ArtSmart: Indiana is a statewide, web-based program that highlights the art and history of the state at http://artsmartindiana.org and is available to both students and the general public. A related exhibit at the museum through Nov. 17 spans the history of the state with original works from private and public collections, as well as the museum's permanent collection.
