March 31, 2011 - Exhibit Honor Area's Best "New Artists"
When Barbara Chadwick won the Best in Show award at the first "New Artists" exhibit in 1980 when she was a Jefferson High School student, she probably had no idea the significance of the award. Today, Chadwick is a professional ceramist in Charlotte, N.C., and wants to help other young ceramic artists get off to a good start like she did. Read more>

Visiting the Art Museum

General Information

The best way to experience art is to see it with your own eyes! The Art Museum of Greater Lafayette is located at 102 South Tenth Street, Lafayette, Indiana. We're open 7 days a week from 11 AM to 4 PM. Closed Holidays.  Stop in, take a deep breath, and enjoy a bit of beauty in your day.

You may discover our galleries year-round. Tours are given by trained art partners and any age, school curriculum, special need or special interest can be tailored to. Tours can be supplemented with hands-on activities in the studio classrooms.

The museum is located in downtown Lafayette on 102 South Tenth Street.

7 days a week: 11 a.m.to 4 p.m.
Closed Holidays

Transportation

The Citybus bus system, including the free Trolley, provide transportation to the museum.

Accomodations

The galleries are wheelchair accessible. Please enter on Ninth Street, close to the entrance. Feel free to ask for assistance in the gift shop by calling 765-742-1128×101. Other accommodations can be arranged upon request.
